The results of the referendum were published on the 8th of May 2021. Of the 1708 ballots 1507 said yes and 174 said no.

The plan will now be ‘made’ at the next full council meeting of Braintree District Council. Thereby it will become a legal document, part of the planning process to which all planning applications must adhere to.
